OUR UNIQUE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM

Speech and Debate – We know that our students can be creative thinkers, developing brilliant ideas.  They each need the voice to effectively communicate and defend those ideas.  All students will complete a speech and debate program, aligned to California English Language Development Standards and Common Core State Standards in reading, writing, speaking and listening. 

Extended Instruction in Literacy and Math – In grades 6-8, students will receive 100 minutes of literacy and math instruction every day.  Fifty minutes will be dedicated to our rigorous, grade level content and fifty minutes to individually coaching students who may need extra support and propelling students ready to tackle advanced material. 

Academic Intervention: Our Mastery Practice sessions will employ blended learning as a tool where students engage in computer-based individualized learning programs in addition to small group targeted instruction with specialized attention from teachers.
